Sourcing of LNG

The company has already tied up 7.5 MMTPA of LNG with Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co. Ltd. (RasGas), Qatar on a long term basis. Three LNG tankers, SS Disha, SS Raahi & Aseem have been time chartered by the company from a consortium led by Mitsui OSK Lines for bringing LNG to Dahej. Shipping Corporation of India is currently operating and maintaining first two LNG ships. The third ship MT Aseem has commenced supply of additional volume of LNG Cargo from RasGas, Qatar to Dahej LNG Terminal since first week of January, 2010.

The company has also successfully signed an LNG SPA with Exxon Mobil Corporation for supply of approximately 1.5 MMTPA of LNG from the Gorgon LNG Project, Australia on a long term basis for the Kochi LNG terminal.
